Public meeting at Condon Montana where the USFS hears the public voice their desire to save Holland Lake from expansion.
On Tuesday October 4, 2022, The USFS and Representatives from POWDR held a public meeting at the Condon Community Hall. The purpose of the meeting was to listen to concerns and public comments on the controversial proposed Holland Lake Lodge Expansion Special Use Permit. The Community Hall was filled, with not even standing room left as people crowded along the walls and out through the doors onto the Porch. All of the people commenting voiced concerns about the proposed project and opposition to it. Many asked specific questions.
This video clearly shows the Individuals delivering public comments and the USFS or POWDR representative(s) that responded. The meeting started at 12:00 pm and ended abruptly two hours later, with people still wanting to comment. The comment period ended October 7, at 11:59 PM.
